Our season begins in May and ends in mid October and is dependent on the road conditions with snow/ice.
The price includes an average of 125 miles per day and everything in our “Whats included” section. We want to encourage you to use our vans to enjoy the beauty and wildness of Alaska, and not just a mean of transportation to try and see everything you can in one week. We offer custom itineraries as an add on, and would love to make a trip for you where you drive less, and experience more!

The Westfalia campervan is a unique and comfortable driving experience. Three of our vans are manual transmission and one (Sourdough) is automatic transmission. Our fleet is meticulously maintained and we will not rent a vehicle that is not in tip-top shape. However, it is important to remember these are 30+ year-old vehicles, so things aren't going to work like a brand new car and hiccups can happen. If this occurs it requires some flexibility on your end. Zach is an experienced mechanic and knows the fleet extremely well and we will work really hard for you not to experience delays. We also work really closely with the local German restoration shop and they can help troubleshoot any hiccups. We kindly ask all of our renters to treat the Westys more carefully than a normal car as many parts of the vans are rare. This helps ensure that everyone can enjoy these unique camping accommodations in the last frontier! You must also be comfortable staying to the right as the Westys are not meant to go over 55-60MPH. Take this as an opportunity to embrace life at slower pace!
